Kusudama - Variations

2005/06 - Origami

These Kusudamas are made by folding many units and glueing them all at their base. Not a very complicated process, only time consuming.

The pink one uses an inverted lily unit. The petals are left sharp and angular which give the kusudama a spiky look.

The second ball, is made out of glueing 5 units together to form a flower. Each unit looks like a Canna Lilly, but the five combined makes a flower.

The third ball is more oval than round in it's formation. It uses planar units which intersect with each other. On it's side, it looks like a spiky wheel. Technically, it's a Sonobe.
