In my recent Temp Agent work at a call centre, I started making these SoNoBes to alleviate my personal boredom. Part of me wanted to keep my mind occupied in between calls and not to let the job to get to me. Unfortunately, the reality of my life is that I need a bread-and-butter job to be an artist.
These are made out of SoNoBes units, which are interlocking pieces. They employ variations of the SoNoBe modules. The 90 unit took me a day to make and assemble, while the 12 or 30 units take less than an hour depending on call volume. They do not require any glue to keep them in their ball shape (but they do break apart if force is applied).
I left these balls with my co-workers as parting gifts. There was no point for me to keep them at home. I already have too much junk in my life.
